email invalid

I can send email to internal email accounts successfully. However, I'm
receiving the following message when attempting to send an email to an
account located outside of our network:
The e-mail address of one or more recipients is not valid.
Here are my email settings from the config file:

</Extension>More than likely, the mail server you're using "MAIL1" is not configured to
relay messages outside your network. You'll need to point it to a smarthost
that can relay messages outside your network.

We are receiving the below error when reports are sent using subscriptions
Using Adobe Read 6.0, I get the following error "Adobe Reader could not open
'report.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the
file has been corrupted
Our client is using lotus notes 4.5 server. I saw something in the
knowledge base that says this issue has been seen before but I have not seen
any resolution to this. Is there a service pack or a configuration setting I
can change to solve this issue.We have issued a QFE for this problem. Currently it is only available
through PSS. The KB reference is 872774, however the article has not yet
been posted on msdn.

EM access error when DB name is a GUID

I am receiving a connection error when I use EM to try to
open a table is my database. I am connecting to SQL Server
as a SA user. I don't have any access errors if I use
Query Analyzer. The problem occurs trying to access tables
in a database that has a GUID for the database name
{910216B1-6186-4F13-A626-D1D4D811F3B1} The brackets are
part of the name. Any GUID name will fail. All other EM
functions work correctly. EM works correctly for all non-
GUID named databases.
The error message is "Connection failed: SQLState '08004'
SQL Server Error: 4060 Server rejected the connection;
Access to selected database has been denied.
I am running SQL Server 2000, version 8.00.818 on a
Windows 2000 server system with SP 4. The same thing
happens on a Windows XP Pro system running SQL Server 2000

Since the name you are using contains invalid characters, it must be
delimited. I'm guessing that SQL EM is not putting brackets around the
name to get past this.

Edition of Report Server DB not supported

I'm receiving the following message when trying to install the
Reporting Services:
"This Edition of the Report Server Database is not supported on the
edition of SQL Server 2000 you have chosen. Please choose another SQL
Server that matches the requirements."
Any suggestions appreciated.

Personal Edition or MSDE or something like that. The sysreqs page tells you
what versions of SQL Server you can use.

>|||Are you trying to use SQL Server MSDE or Personal edition? Reporting Services
can only use Standard or Enterprise Edition of SQL Server 2000. Developer
edition works, but is not licensed for production environment.

Editing Roles in 2005 - receiving internal error

I am not sure of the Restored part of your question? Could you elaborate more on what you were upgrading and how you did it?

Any help is greatly appreciated.Yes I can. We backed up our 2000 RS db's and restored them on the 2005 box.
Then, using the config. tool, upgraded them. All directories show up and
reports work fine. It's just that the Content Manager role doesn't have each
of the tasks checked, such as Consume reports and Manage models. So I tried
to assign them and I get the internal error.
I did create fresh db's from scratch and all tasks are assigned to the
Content Manager. I would think we should be able to transition from 2000 to
2005 and have full functionality. I'm assuming I'm doing something wrong.
