Other than Log Explorer, is there a tool that can email me whenever db
changes are made? (Tables/ Procs/ etc.)
TIA, ChrisRwww.LogPi.com, but no e-mails.
Wait for SQL 2005 where this functionality is provided for system tables.
For SQL server 2000 and 2005, user table auditing is best done though
triggers.

Email Attachements
Whenever I try to create an attachment with email, the attachment is created
but it is empyu in the case of Excel or I get an open error when creating a
PDF file attachment. If insted of using email, I create a file on a server
share it works fine and I see the report. Also if I include a link on the
email that works fine also and I see the report. It's only the attachments
that aren't working. We are using Lotus Notes for our email system. It's a known bug. Apply the hotfix described in M$ KB # 872774

Email Alert in SQL Server2000
can somebody help me to setup email alerts in SQL Server 2000 standard edition whenever, backup is successful OR failed to complete.
Thanks,
I'll assume you're doing scheduled backups via SQL Server Agent
1. Configure SQL Server to use SQL Mail (Check Books Online SQL Mail)
2. Add an operator to SQL Server Agent with the relevant email address
3. In your SQL Job, notifications tab, check the box to email, select your operator and also selec to alert whenever the job completes.

EM wants to confirm user's password
Hi,
I'm having a problem with Enterprise Manager. The problem is that, whenever
I use EM to modify a user's SQL Server account (any modification), EM will a
sk me to confirm the user's pasword. I don't know the user passwords. A few
months ago I read about
this problem but now I can't find any info and have forgotten where I read a
bout this bug. I have other tools to use to make changes so, I haven't worri
ed about it. But now, I want to fix the bug. On my desk top I'm running SQL
2000 client tools. Our serv
ers are mostly SQL 2000 with SP3 with a few SQL 7 SP4.
Any information would be helpful.
Thanks,
JoeSounds like this may be the bug you are referring to:

EM Script Error
I've have a minor problem with my enterprise manager. Whenever I try to look at the database screen I get the following pop-up, and then it just leaves the screen saying "Loading Database Information"
I tried a ground up re-install of the EM, no joy. I'm running a Dell GX260 with WinXP SP1.
Any ideas. It's just an annoyance.Think there is a problem with SQL installation. Try re-installing the SQL.|||I did re-install the SQL. Still no luck.|||do onething, open any other MMC and add SQL Server in that.|||Same error. :(|||Then there is a problem with your service pack.
